Galway Now - Wedding photography special

Super fun working with the lovely Emer Donlon, editor of Galway Now magazine on a shoot for her profile picture. And the Radisson Blu hotel provided a wonderfully bright location for it. 


Delighted to see the results of her first edition as editor. The layout and content are fab. Congrats to Emer and the team!


Also lovely to see Katrina and Sean's wedding feature. I've known them as a couple for many years and their beautiful, intimate wedding was the most natural thing in the world. They are so made for each other! Always nice to see my work in print also, I hope all the readers enjoy this selection of the best bits. :)

I've really enjoyed doing so many newborns over the Christmas and new year. All girls!

Baby boom!

There are bumps and babies everywhere at the moment! :) 
I've three newborn shoots this week and one hasn't arrived yet!  So excited to meet my good friend Niamh's new arrival..so hurry up little one! ;)
Newborn shoots are soo much fun. I love them. The best time to get these done is about 2 to 4 weeks old. Then you can get great pictures of the tiny things all curled up in sleepy newness! Here's some pics from a previous newborn  shoot with baby Alicia. So cute and she's grown so much since.

Kitty & Ray's wedding day highlights

A beautiful blue sky greeting Kitty on the morning of her big day. The atmosphere in the house was so exciting and welcoming it was hard to leave. But as Ray waited patiently at the church, Kitty couldn't wait to be by his side. A fab day with a super lovely couple and their family and friends. It was a real pleasure to be a part of it.

Natasha and Adam's perfect day!

It might sound cliché but it actually was perfect. They are so adorable together it would make us singletons sick. I enjoyed it soo much it makes my job super easy when they are always smiling and kissing naturally, I didn't need to encourage them one bit, in fact I sometimes had to ask them to stop!

Happy Birthday Luca!

 

Luka Celebrated his Frist birthday this week! Hasn't he got the biggest bluest eyes ever! Lovely placid little guy, not a peep out of him. The first shoot I did with Luca was when he was still in mummy's tummy and look how big he is now, nearly walking! Time sure does fly! Great day with my good friend Lorraine, Daniel and Luca. Cant wait for next year! :)

 

Congratulations to Elaine and Pat who got married in Clairegalway recently. Had a fantastic day at the wedding, they are both lots of fun and so perfect for each other. Here are a few shots from their engagement session in her brothers lovely back garden! A bit camera shy at first but they soon got into the swing of it. It really helped for the big day to have done this shoot as an ice breaker. Working on their wedding edits now, can't wait to share them with ye.

Abbie's communion in Dunboyne, Co Meath

Abbie is a lovely, cheeky little girl who lives in Dunboyne with her mum, dad and little sister Sofie. I did their family portrait nearly two years ago but the girls still remembered me well. It is great to see the pictures hanging on the wall with pride of place in the living room and even better to hang out with them all again. The atmosphere in the house was great, Gran and Abbie's godmother making food in the kitchen, Abbie and Sofie waiting patiently to get out of their good clothes so they can attack the bouncy castle in the back garden. It helps that Abbie is so pretty and loves the camera, but I was having so much fun shooting her I didn't want to leave, especially when I heard what was inside that beautiful cake! Chocolate biscuit cake, yum yum! 

It can be really difficult for mums and dads to pick the best photograph from a portraits session even with my help. So after choosing their favourites to hang on the wall, they also ordered a couple copies of the coffee table album for them, Gran and her godfather who was unable to make it on the day. It's a really nice thing to have, a lovely complete story in one handy book. Can't wait to return in two years for Sofie's communion!
