Abbie's communion in Dunboyne, Co Meath

Abbie is a lovely, cheeky little girl who lives in Dunboyne with her mum, dad and little sister Sofie. I did their family portrait nearly two years ago but the girls still remembered me well. It is great to see the pictures hanging on the wall with pride of place in the living room and even better to hang out with them all again. The atmosphere in the house was great, Gran and Abbie's godmother making food in the kitchen, Abbie and Sofie waiting patiently to get out of their good clothes so they can attack the bouncy castle in the back garden. It helps that Abbie is so pretty and loves the camera, but I was having so much fun shooting her I didn't want to leave, especially when I heard what was inside that beautiful cake! Chocolate biscuit cake, yum yum!
It can be really difficult for mums and dads to pick the best photograph from a portraits session even with my help. So after choosing their favourites to hang on the wall, they also ordered a couple copies of the coffee table album for them, Gran and her godfather who was unable to make it on the day. It's a really nice thing to have, a lovely complete story in one handy book. Can't wait to return in two years for Sofie's communion!

Thanks for stopping by! Dee :)

Budapest in March

A tower straight out of a fairy tale
I love this city, the people are so nice(except for a few thieving taxi drivers) and it's beautiful. I tried the national dish, Goulash soup but have to admit to not being a fan, otherwise the food was really nice with unusual combinations of Parmesan cheese on rice and paprika crisps. Paprika seems to be the national spice(do we have an Irish national spice?), as they sell little bags of it to gullible tourists like me.Hidden gem in the city...just stumbled into this lovely place
