Autumn

Autumn is here. feeling the chill in the mornings now and the annual weather-change flu has set in. Ah well, not much we can do, except brace ourselves for more rain to come.

just a teaser...

I did my first wedding solo recently and although I'd probably choose to be a guest at the next family one, I always enjoy taking photographs. Working on them now, so here's one I did tonight.

First HDR's

High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography is the process of taking several images at different shutter speeds and combining them into a single photo that contains no washed out or underexposed areas. The result can be surreal, an almost too perfectly lit photograph that contains a high level of detail throughout the image.

These are my first try's... Practice practice...

The first one is a made from 5 different combined raw files, while the second is done using one raw file at different exposers and then combined. How did I do?

Took so many pictures between the last two weekends, I think it'll take me a while to go through them all... that'll teach me for being snap-happy ;)

Nicola & Paul

Taken on Sat 9th Aug - Nicola and Paul's big day in the Burren, Co.Clare! As you can see, the sun didn't make an appearance, but at least the torrential rain held off till we reached the reception. It was a charming ceremony for a lovely couple. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Also to Gerry Costello for taking me along as second shooter.
